What is Cheek Enhancement?

What is the Cheek Enhancement procedure?
Cheekbone enhancement is an out patient procedure taking only thirty to forty five minutes to complete. The size and shape of your implants will be determined based on your desired outcome as well as your particular anatomy. A local anesthetic is administered and the implants are inserted through small incisions made either at the gum line or the lower eyelid After the implants are securely in place the incisions are closed with a suture.
What are the risks involved with Cheek Enhancement?
As with all surgical procedures there are possible risks and complications associated with Cheek enhancement. Complications are rare and usually minor. Risks include but are not limited to: Temporary or permanent loss of, or change in, sensation in the cheek, implants can shift especially in the first few days after your surgery. There is also a risk of infection and hematoma.
What can I expect after Cheek Enhancement?
It is normal to experience some swelling and redness immediately following your surgery, some people will experience slight bruising that will only last a couple days. It will be difficult to chew for a few days, you should restrict yourself to a liquid/soft food diet until the tenderness subsides. Most patients report returning to normal activities within ten days of the procedure. After the healing is complete the final results are expected to be permanent.
