 What is a Forehead Lift?
The signs of aging often first show in the form of sagging eyebrows and wrinkles on the forehead. People as young as thirty can look much older than they are. The drooping eyebrows can give you a tired, angry, or sad expression that may not reflect how you actually feel. Also known as a brow lift, a forehead lift can reposition a low or sagging brow, improves deep frown or laugh lines, and help minimize the deep creases that develop across the forehead and the bridge of the nose. The result is a more youthful and relaxed look.
What is the Forehead Lift procedure?
The forehead lift is an outpatient procedure that can be done under I.V. sedation or general anaesthesia. At Younique Cosmetic Surgery we prefer the Endoscopic Forehead Lift over the traditional lift that uses a long incision along the forehead leaving a visible scar. The endoscopic lift leaves minimal scarring, with far less chance of complications and a much faster recovery period.

During the procedure small incisions will be made at the hairline, releasing the tightened muscles causing wrinkles and frown lines. After all of the attachments of the forehead and brow are released the skin is pulled up to the desired position and sutures are used to hold the skin in place.

What are the risks involved with a Forehead Lift?
As with all surgical procedures, there are possible risks and complications associated with the forehead lift. Fortunately complications are rare, and usually minor. Risks include but are not limited to: Infection, Hair loss at incision site, difficulty moving forehead and scarring.
What can I expect after my Forehead Lift?
You will experience mild to moderate discomfort for the first few days. Keeping your head elevated and applying ice packs will help keep swelling and pressure down. Avoid and strenuous activity for two weeks. Patients usually can return to work ten to fourteen days after their surgery. It will take several weeks to see the full results of your forehead lift. However, once you are fully healed you will clearly see the improvements!
