What is Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive procedure where we use abrasion and suction to remove the outermost layer of damaged skin. During the operation, we spray aluminum oxide or another crystalline substance under high pressure to knock the damaged skin cells off. Afterwards, we vacuum up the skin cells, leaving you with a beautiful pink glow. During the aging process time slows down the skin cycle leaving skin cells in place causing clogged or damaged pores. This procedure leaves you looking younger and more beautiful than ever before.
What are the side effects associated with Microdermabrasion?
Microdermabrasion side effects primarily occur for patients with highly sensitive skin. There is no need to worry or seek medical help if experiencing any of the side effects as they naturally subside. The symptoms of microdermabrasion side effects are in many ways similar to sun burn and these usually subside within a day. Skin flaking may take between 2-4 days to appear, however, this is just part of the process of the skin healing itself.
