What are Hand Veins?
Hand veins usually occur in older patients as the subcutaneous fat diminishes, exposing the veins they once hid, causing the skin to become thin and translucent.
What is the procedure to correct Hand Veins?
The veins themselves are not a problem, therefore Dr. Youssef recommends that patients get a fat transfer procedure to replace the fat that is currently gone. With a fat transfer, the doctor will remove fat from unwanted areas, process and purify it, then inject it into the back of the hand.
What options do I have to treat my Hand Veins?
You should schedule and appointment with Dr. Youssef so that he may diagnose you properly and suggest any alternative procedures to correct your problem such as sclerotherapy (foam injection) or ambulatory phlebectomry (tiny incisions).
