The technique your Younique provider uses for your biopsy will be based on the presentation of the issue. The technique will be one of the following:
- Incisional Biopsy. A cut is created and the provider removes a sample of the suspicious tissue.
- Excisional Biopsy. A cut is created and the provider removes all of the suspicious tissue.
- Punch Biopsy. A rotation cutting device is used to remove a small, round piece of tissue.
- Shave biopsy. The skin issue and a thin layer of surrounding skin are removed using a scalpel.
Because your provider uses an anesthetic to numb the treatment area, all of these techniques are painless procedures.
