Procedure
Your Younique surgeon will prepare you by making sure you’re comfortable in the treatment room and administer general anesthesia so you won’t feel a thing. Next, your surgeon will make an incision from the elbow to the armpit (and in some cases, to the side of your chest). Your surgeon then tightens the muscles in the upper arm and removes excess fat and skin to achieve a shaped, contoured upper arm.
Finally, your surgeon will apply absorbable stitches or sutures to close the incision. After 1 to 2 weeks, your Younique provider will remove them.
Recovery
You’ll need to arrange transportation to and from Younique Surgery center, and you shouldn’t plan on driving a car for 5 to 10 days post-surgery.
We’ll provide a special compression garment to minimize swelling and promote healing. Additionally, you’ll have substantial dressings that cover your incision, which you’ll need to change frequently.
Most arm lift patients usually return to work after 2 to 3 weeks, but you should avoid heavy lifting for 2 to 6 weeks for optimal healing results.
