Procedure
Surgical cheekbone enhancement is an outpatient procedure taking only 30 to 45 minutes to complete. We’ll determine the size and shape of your implants based on your desired outcome as well as your particular anatomy. Younique adds volume to the cheeks by effectively augmenting your cheek region’s existing bone structure.
Your treatment area will be thoroughly cleansed, at which time we will administer a local anesthetic. Your surgeon then inserts the cheek implants through small incisions made either at the gum line or the lower eyelid. After the implants are securely in place, the incisions are closed with a suture.
Recovery
There will be some swelling and redness immediately following surgery. Some patients experience slight bruising that only lasts a couple days. It will be difficult to chew for a few days, so you should restrict yourself to a liquid/soft food diet until the tenderness subsides.
Most patients report returning to normal activities within 10 days after getting their cheek implants in Los Angeles.

Are cheek implants better than nonsurgical alternatives?
While cheek implants are more invasive than injectable fillers, they still only take about 30 to 45 minutes for the surgical procedure to be completed. After you have healed and swelling has gone down, you can expect to maintain your cheek enhancement results throughout your lifetime.

Are there any side effects or complications with cheek implants?

As with all surgeries, there are possible risks and complications associated with cheek implants. Complications are rare and usually minor. Risks include but are not limited to:
