Benefits of an Arm Lift
Arm Contour
Getting rid of loose, sagging skin and fat makes your arms look slimmer and younger.
Improved Health
Sagging upper arm skin can rub against clothing and your sides, causing chafing and rashes. If the sag is gone, the problem is solved.
Self Reward
Did a recent weight loss cause the appearance of drooping upper arm skin? Congratulations! Reward your hard work with an arm lift to show off the new you.
Consultation
It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. If your provider determines that an arm lift in Los Angeles is the best option for your goals, your surgery can be scheduled, and you’ll be filled in on the pre-surgery preparation details.

Procedure
Your Younique surgeon begins the procedure by administering general anesthesia. During the 2 to 4 hour brachioplasty, an incision is made from the elbow to the armpit, and in some cases to the side of the chest. Your provider then tightens the muscles in the upper arm and removes any excess fat and skin, leaving a shaped, contoured upper arm.
You will be given either absorbable sutures or stitches (removed after a week or 2) to close the incision.

Recovery
You’ll need to have transportation to and from the surgery center arranged. Expect not to be able to drive a car for 5 to 10 days after your surgery.
There will be substantial dressings covering your closed incision which will need to be changed frequently. Also, you’ll wear a special compression garment to minimize swelling and discomfort.
Arm lift recipients usually return to work after 2 to 3 weeks, but we advise against heavy lifting for 2 to 6 weeks.

Who makes an ideal candidate for brachioplasty in Los Angeles?
As with all surgical procedures, the best candidates are healthy, don’t have bleeding or healing disorders, don’t smoke, and are near their ideal weight.
For an arm lift in specific, you may be a good candidate for the procedure if:
- Your genetics cause you to have sagging under arm skin, no matter your healthy habits.
- Aging has caused your skin to lose elasticity—the ability to “bounce back” after stretching—and your upper arms have skin droop.
- You’ve lost weight, causing the stretched skin to sag where the weight has disappeared.
What are some complementary procedures for my arm lift?
As part of your overall aesthetic and wellness goals, you may want to have your arm lift done along with other procedures. This not only saves you time, it can also save you money. Keep in mind that doing multiple procedures will require extra help at home as you heal. You can discuss your situation and personal discomfort tolerances during your consultation. Your Younique provider can create a custom plan that best suits your situation and goals.
Some common complementary procedures done along with an arm lift include:
- Liposuction
- Smart liposuction
- Tummy tuck
- Mini tummy tuck
