It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this relaxing and energizing one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. If your provider determines that microblading in Los Angeles is the best treatment for your concerns and goals, your session can be scheduled.

Upon arriving at Younique, your makeup artist will evaluate your eyebrows and take detailed measurements of your eyebrows and hair lengths. After discussing your expectations and what look you are trying to achieve, your artist applies numbing cream and then begins tattooing with ink that matches your natural eyebrow color. The hand-held specialized tattooing device makes small strokes, matching the length, thickness, and natural pattern of your eyebrows.

You will be given specific aftercare instructions on the day of your appointment, especially for when you get up and when you go to bed. The area may appear more swollen the next morning. This is normal and will subside throughout the day. Otherwise, in general:

• Do not pick or scratch at scabs.
• Up to 40% of pigment is lost during the healing process.
• Do not apply makeup, cleansers, or strong skincare products on the area for 2 weeks.
• Stay out of the sun, tanning booths, saunas, steam rooms, pools, hot tubs, and recreational water activities, and avoid direct contact with animals on the procedure area for 14 days (until healed with no scabbing).
