Benefits of Paramedical Tattoos in Los Angeles
Scar Camouflage
Paramedical tattoos can make discolored scar tissue match surrounding tissue coloration.
3D Tattoos
If an areola has an aesthetic defect or has been surgically removed, our tattoos offer the 3D appearance of an aerola.
More Confidence
Because this procedure makes a scar less pronounced (or invisible), it reduces self-consciousness.
Consultation
It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this relaxing and energizing one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. If your provider determines that paramedical tattoos in Los Angeles are the best treatment for your concerns and goals, your session can be scheduled.

Treatment
Your Younique provider will remove any makeup that may be on the treatment area and thoroughly cleanse it. The way the paramedical tattoo procedure is performed depends on the severity of the issue. However, they all work similarly to regular tattoos, where ink is inserted under the skin using a tattoo machine. This machine possesses tiny needles that puncture the skin to deliver the ink. Unlike regular tattoos, paramedical tattoos are meant to mimic normal tissues. They are discreet, mostly unnoticeable changes that make scarring “disappear”.

Recovery
After your tattoo has been placed, your Younique provider will apply a thin layer of antibiotic ointment over the treatment area and cover it with a bandage or plastic wrap. This protects the tattoo from bacteria and irritation from clothing. You’ll receive instructions on how and when to remove the covering at home and how to best support the healing process. Tattoos are permanent; however, the color might begin to fade after several years. When this happens, it is possible to retouch the tattoo colors to make them look natural once again.

Who makes a good candidate for paramedical tattoos in Los Angeles?
Anyone with missing color or discoloration of their areolas, or have had their areola removed, is a good candidate for 3D areola restoration.
Good candidates for scar camouflage are determined by the type and color of the scar.
It is highly recommended to perform it on scars or stretch marks that are light in color and flush with the skin to achieve better results with scar camouflage. This makes it easier for the tattoo artist to match the natural skin color and blend perfectly. Also, the results might be better if the scar surface is flat and not raised.
It’s still possible to achieve great results if the conditions are not as favorable. Consult with the tattoo artist first to discuss treatment expectations and possible results.
What are some of the other issues that might be addressed with paramedical tattoos?
There are several other applications for paramedical tattoos, including:
- Stretch mark camouflage
- Hiding birthmarks
- Addressing vitiligo
- Belly button tattoo (perhaps after a tummy tuck)
- Camouflage for fingernail/toenail loss
