Benefits of Breast Reduction in Los Angeles
Back Relief
You’ll be amazed at how much better your back will feel when that weight pulling your posture forward has been reduced.
Reduced Scarring
We prefer using liposuction to reduce heavy breasts, since they are mostly comprised of fat tissue. This technique reduces side effects and minimizes scarring.
More Activities
Engage in activities, fashion, shopping, and fun that you couldn’t with larger breasts!
Consultation
Breast reduction in Los Angeles starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. If your provider determines that reducing your breasts is the best option for your goals, your surgery can be scheduled, and you’ll be filled in on the pre-surgery preparation details.

Procedure
To begin, anesthesia infused with adrenaline will be directly administered to the area where the fat will be removed. The area will then become numb and the blood vessels will become constricted, eliminating pain. Then, we will make 3 to 5 tiny incisions around the breasts (rather than any skin being removed). These incisions make it possible to insert a cannula (small metal tube) and remove the excess fat in a process called tumescent liposuction.

Recovery
You will be given a supportive bra that must be worn 24 hours a day to minimize sagging and speed up healing after your breast reduction in LA. After the first day, you should be walking at least 30 minutes a day in addition to your usual regimen. Don’t shave or go swimming for a few days after your procedure, as it can cause infection. Most patients recover without taking pain medication, but it is okay if necessary. Swelling and any bruising dissipate after a few weeks.

How long does a full recovery take from a breast reduction?
After this outpatient surgery, you’ll be given a special soft bra for support and allowed to go home. Make sure you have someone who can drive you home. It should take about 3 to 5 weeks for your breasts to re-settle into their natural position.
Because each patient is different, you may be able to go back to work and engage in nonstrenuous daily activities after 3 weeks. However, you should also make sure that you have the time available to properly heal for a full recovery.
How many cup sizes can I go down with a breast reduction?
Most the breast reduction surgeries done at Younique bring a patient’s cup size down 1 to 2 sizes. In cases of extremely large breasts, we can achieve more drastic results as required for your goals and for health improvement!
