Peace of Mind

Consultation
It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this relaxing and energizing one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. They will also inspect the mole(s) in your treatment area(s). If your provider determines that mole removal in Los Angeles is the best treatment for your concerns and goals, your session can be scheduled.
Procedure
Your mole removal technique will depend on your sensitivities along with the presentation of the mole and its location. Your Younique provider will thoroughly cleanse the treatment area and remove any makeup as needed. A local anesthetic will be administered, and then—depending on the treatment—the mole will be partially or completely removed. You should feel no discomfort during any of the treatments.
Recovery
There is no downtime with any of our mole removal techniques. Healing time will vary depending on the procedure, though most mole removal treatments require 7 to 10 days for the skin to fully heal. During that time, you should avoid swimming pools, hot tubs, and any place where the wound will be fully immersed in water. You can shower starting the next day after the biopsy. Also refrain from activities that will rub/irritate the wound, including scratching or rubbing the treatment site because of itching.
How do I know if my mole might be cancerous?
Most moles are noncancerous and benign. They consist of a closely-grouped cluster of melanin-producing cells, the kind that give our skin and eyes their color.
As per the National Cancer Institute (NIH), the ABCDE approach is the easiest way to check moles for cancer possibility. Inspect your mole(s) for these features:
- Asymmetry. One side’s shape doesn’t match the other.
- Border. The edges are irregular, ragged, notched, or blurred.
- Color. The color is uneven, possibly with areas of different color within it.
- Diameter. The mole is larger than 6 millimeters (1/4 inch) wide.
- Evolving. The appearance has changed over the past few weeks/months.
If any of these features apply to your mole, you may want to consider mole removal.
How long does mole removal in Los Angeles take?
The mole removal procedure itself takes approximately 15 minutes and is done on an outpatient basis using local anesthetic.
