Consultation

It all starts with a personal consultation between you and your licensed Younique provider. During this personalized consultation, they’ll discuss:

  • Your existing breast implants
  • Your goals for surgery
  • Your medical history

If your provider determines that breast implant removal is the best option, they will first schedule an MRI. Once we receive your results, we can schedule your procedure and share pre-surgery preparation details.

Procedure

You will receive general anesthetic or IV sedation. Next, your licensed Younique surgeon will make an incision near your areola or breast crease to remove the implants and any scar tissue. Depending on your goals, this is also when you could get breast implants or a lift. Once the incisions are closed, the healing process will commence.

Recovery

Similar to the recovery after your first augmentation, allow time to heal following implant removal or revision. In the first 1 to 2 weeks post-surgery, it’s essential to rest and steer clear of strenuous activities like lifting more than 5 pounds and driving.

Don’t forget to wear a supportive bra or compression garment to control swelling. To remove excess fluid or blood, your surgeon could insert drains under your skin. These are usually removed within a few days.
