Procedure
First, you’ll receive a local anesthetic to numb the area and ensure you’re comfortable throughout the procedure.
Once your lips are numb, your Younique surgeon will carefully clean the area. Then, a small incision will be made along the base of your nose, stretching from one nostril to the other.
To create the lifted look, the surgeon removes a small strip of skin to shorten the distance between your nose and upper lip, gently pulling the lip upward. Once the desired lift is achieved, the incision is closed with sutures.
Recovery
After your lip lift procedure, it’s common to experience swelling and bruising around the lips, which can last anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks. This is a normal part of the healing process. You might also notice some tenderness or mild discomfort during this time, which can be managed with the aftercare instructions provided by your surgeon.
