Consultation
During your one-on-one consultation with your expert Younique provider, they discuss:
- Your concerns
- Your aesthetic goals
- Your medical history
If an arm lift in Oxnard is the best option for your particular goals, they’ll schedule your surgery. They’ll also discuss essential pre-surgery guidelines, so you can prepare accordingly.

Procedure
Your Younique surgeon will prepare you by making sure you’re comfortable in the treatment room and administer general anesthesia so you won’t feel a thing. Next, your surgeon will make an incision from the elbow to the armpit (and in some cases, to the side of your chest). Your surgeon then tightens the muscles in the upper arm and removes excess fat and skin to achieve a shaped, contoured upper arm.
Finally, your surgeon will apply stitches or absorbable sutures to close the incision. After 1 to 2 weeks, your Younique provider will remove your sutures.

Recovery
You’ll need to arrange transportation to and from Younique Surgery center, and you shouldn’t plan on driving a car for 5 to 10 days post-surgery.
We’ll provide special compression garment to minimize swelling and aid in healing. Additionally, you’ll have substantial dressings that cover your incision, which you’ll need to change frequently.
Most arm lift patients usually return to work after 2 to 3 weeks, but you should avoid heavy lifting for 2 to 6 weeks for optimal healing results.

Who makes an ideal candidate for brachioplasty in Oxnard?
Most surgical procedures usually require a candidate to be healthy—without bleeding or healing disorders, non-smoker, and near their ideal weight.
You may be an ideal arm lift candidate if you experience:
- Sagging underarm skin caused by genetics. No matter your healthy habits, you can’t seem to achieve the arm shape you desire.
- Lost skin elasticity due to age. Your skin no longer “bounces back” after being stretched.
- Sagging skin after weight loss. You’ve lost the weight, but now the stretched skin sags and gets in the way.
What are some complementary procedures for my arm lift?
For a complete aesthetic and wellness transformation, you might consider an arm lift alongside other treatments at Younique. This saves you both time and money, but keep in mind that you may need to recruit extra help at home while you heal.
During your one-on-one consultation with an expert provider at Younique, we can discuss your goals and the best way to achieve them. We create an individualized treatment plan that works for you.
Some common procedures that work well with an arm lift include:
- Liposuction
- Smart liposuction
- Tummy tuck
- Mini tummy tuck
