Benefits of an Arm Lift
Arm Contour
Removing loose and drooping skin tightens the look and feel of your arms for a younger appearance.
Improved Health
Extra skin folds can create friction and cause irritation. Remove the excess skin, and say goodbye to rashes.
Self Reward
Have you reached a weight loss milestone that’s causing sagging skin on your upper arm? Congratulations! Celebrate your new look with an arm lift to show off your success.
Consultation
Our process begins with a personal consultation led by one of our expert Younique providers. This one-on-one meeting is the perfect time to discuss your concerns, goals for treatment, and medical history. If your provider recommends an arm lift in Santa Monica, we can schedule your surgery and give you all the pre-surgery preparation details.

Procedure
Your Younique surgeon starts your surgery with a general anesthetic. During your procedure, they will make an incision from the elbow to the armpit, or in some cases, to the side of the chest. Your surgeon tightens your upper arm muscles and removes the extra skin and fat. This leaves you with a firm, contoured upper arm.
Your provider will close the incision with absorbable sutures or stitches, which will be removed 1 to 2 weeks after the procedure.

Recovery
You won’t be able to drive a car for up to 10 days following your surgery, so you’ll need to arrange transportation to and from our facility.
Your incision will be covered with a medical dressing, which must be changed frequently. We’ll also send you home wearing a special compression garment to reduce discomfort and swelling.
Our arm lift patients typically may return to regular activities 2 to 3 weeks following surgery, though we advise against heavy lifting for 2 to 6 weeks.

Who makes an ideal candidate for brachioplasty in Santa Monica?
The best candidates for this kind of surgery are healthy non-smokers who are free of bleeding or healing conditions and are close to their ideal weight.
You may be a good fit for an arm lift specifically if:
- Genetics causes your arms to sag regardless of healthy lifestyle habits.
- Aging has caused skin laxity, which make your upper arms sag and droop.
- You’ve lost weight, creating excess, loose skin where the weight once was.
What are some complementary procedures for my arm lift?
Continue your wellness and aesthetic journey by combining your arm lift with our other services. This can save you money, but scheduling multiple surgeries also requires extra downtime for recovery.
Your provider will discuss your personal treatment goals during your consultation, and can develop a customized plan to help you achieve them.
Common complement procedures that pair well with an arm life include:
- Liposuction
- Smart liposuction
- Tummy tuck
- Mini tummy tuck
