Treatment
Our session begins by cleansing the treatment area. Your Younique provider will numb the buttocks and/or thighs with a local anesthetic to ensure your comfort. Next, they will make a small incision, allowing the Avéli handheld device to go beneath the skin’s surface. Equipped with a tiny blade, the doctor uses the device to cut and release fibrous bands known as septa; this is the source of cellulite.
Recovery
After severing the selected septa, your provider will provide compression leggings and a cushion pad. This helps with swelling and protects the area while it heals. Once you’re ready, you may leave our office and continue with your day. There will be bruising and swelling in the treatment area that may cause post-treatment discomfort during the first 24 to 48 hours. Taking over-the-counter medication can help as you heal.
