Benefits of Earlobe Repair
Restored Appearance
Earlobe repair can reverse the effects of stretched or torn lobes, returning them to a more natural look.
Jewelry Comfort
Your earlobes will be in better shape for re-piercing if you choose, providing a cleaner and more symmetrical base for new earrings after earlobe repair in Santa Monica.
Injury Healing
If your earlobe has been torn or injured (such as during sports), repair can fix the damage and prevent scarring.
Consultation
It all starts with a one-on-one consultation with your licensed Younique provider. They’ll chat with you about your concerns, treatment goals, and medical history. If earlobe repair is the best choice for you, they’ll schedule the surgery and go over what you need to do to prepare.

Procedure
The earlobe repair procedure is customized to fit your needs. If you’ve had an injury that caused earlobe damage, we can perform the repair once the wound has healed. Our surgeons are experienced in using different techniques to close wounds and restore a natural appearance. If we’re fixing a piercing, we can remove the tunnel and stitch the front and back to close the hole.
AT Younique Surgery Center, we perform earlobe repair in Santa Monica as an outpatient procedure with local anesthesia.

Recovery
You can return to work and normal activities right after the procedure. You might experience mild pain and swelling for 1 to 2 days, but over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen should help. In most cases, the only dressing required is a thin layer of antibiotic ointment. If the stitches aren’t dissolvable, they’re typically removed after about a week.

How long does earlobe repair take?
The time it takes for an earlobe repair depends on what needs to be fixed. Most basic repairs take about 20 to 30 minutes, with a few extra minutes at the start for the anesthetic to kick in. If it’s a more complicated case, it might take a bit longer.
Will my earlobe look like nothing ever happened in the first place?
We wish we could promise no scarring! However, with split or torn earlobes, you can expect some light scarring, though it will be very small and hardly noticeable. We’ll also discuss your risk of scarring based on your family history, including any tendency for keloid scarring.
If more noticeable scars develop during healing, your Younique provider has extra techniques, products, and at-home tips to help minimize them and keep you on track for great results.
