Consultation
It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your fat-loss goals, your medical history, and they’ll survey your target treatment areas. If your provider determines that J-Plasma in Los Angeles is the best option, your surgery can be scheduled, and you’ll be filled in on the pre-surgery preparation details.
Procedure
To begin with, your provider injects tumescent anesthesia in the treatment area. When ready, they’ll make very small incisions—smaller than with regular liposuction—and use a special cannula to liquefy the fatty tissue and remove it via negative pressure (suction).
Next, a different, slim applicator is inserted into the incision to deliver the J-Plasma treatment. Ionized helium is introduced along with RF energy, generating cool plasma. This cool plasma causes collagen in the deeper tissues to contract for safe and effective skin tightening.
Recovery
The downtime for smart liposuction is much shorter than regular liposuction. Most Younique patients require 3 to 5 days of downtime, and many return to work within a few days. We do recommend you wait at least 1 week before resuming exercise, and wear the compression garments for the full prescribed duration. In most cases, any residual soreness or bruising has subsided by the end of 4 weeks.

Has J-Plasma—also known as J-Plasty—been around a long time?
