Benefits of Labial Fat Transfer in Los Angeles
Minimally Invasive
Labial fat transfer surgery involves liposuction of unwanted fat, and injection of the cleansed fat into target areas. That’s it!
Aesthetic Enhancement
Plumping the labia majora helps conceal the labia minora, and gives your vaginal appearance a more youthful fullness.
Long Lasting
With positive results that last a year or more, your labial fat transfer provides enhancement that goes the distance.
Consultation
It starts with a personal consultation with your trained and licensed Younique provider. During this one-on-one, they’ll discuss your concerns, your goals for treatment, and your medical history. If your provider determines that labial fat transfer in Los Angeles is the best option, your surgery can be scheduled and you’ll be filled in on the pre-surgery preparation details.

Procedure
This outpatient procedure is performed in about an hour using general anesthesia. Your Younique provider will remove fat from unwanted areas such as the thighs or hips using a small cannula via liposuction. Once the fat is removed, it is harvested and purified. Then, the fat is re-injected into the labia majora, near blood vessels to ensure permanency and growth. This plumps the labia, adding volume while decreasing the appearance of wrinkles and droop.

Recovery
Patients can expect some swelling and bruising at both the liposuction suction sites and somewhat in the injection sites for approximately 10 days after the procedure. Apply cool compresses can help reduce swelling and relieve discomfort. Most Younique patients return to work 2 days after the procedure. It can take up to 6 to 8 weeks for full recovery. You should refrain from sexual activity for at least 6 weeks.

How do I prepare for labial fat transfer in Los Angeles?
Some things you can do to get ready for your labial fat transfer include:
- Stop taking aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, and other blood-thinning herbs and supplements for 7 days prior to surgery, if medically possible
- Stop smoking for at least 2 weeks before surgery (or preferably, forever).
- Refrain from alcohol for 2 weeks before your labial fat transfer.
- Stay hydrated (always!).
- Secure transportation to and from our surgery center, as you will have undergone general anesthesia.
Why do my labia become wrinkled or deflated-looking?
As we age, our skin thins and gets wrinkled due to a loss of collagen. This can also happen because of hormonal changes (such as menopause), and because of weight loss.
These processes affect our entire bodies—including our genital tissue. When the labia majora lose the fatty tissue volume and the support of collagen, the vulvar skin can sag and wrinkle, including the labial folds. One thing to remember: barring specific medical situations, your labia are normal. No two sets are alike. And everyone ages!
So as you consider cosmetic enhancement of your labia, remember: you are perfectly normal. Don’t compare yourself to others. Instead, focus on how you want to feel better inside and out. We’ll be there to support you when you’re ready!
