We start everyone’s treatment process with a consultation. During this appointment, you will speak with an expert provider about your medical history, concerns, and your aesthetic and wellness goals.
If you and your provider decide that lip filler is the right treatment to meet your goals, then our staff will help get you scheduled. After getting you on the schedule, we will provide you with everything you need to know before treatment.
Procedure
Arrive at your appointment wihout makeup, as we will be cleansing the treatment area prior to performing the injections. From there, your provider will determine the ideal injection sites to achieve your goals.
After the quick injections are finished, your provider may need to carefully massage the injection site, allowing the product to spread as evenly as possible. This final step will help shape your lips for the perfect appearance.
Recovery
Lip filler in Santa Monica may require downtime. This will depend on what type of dermal filler you and your provider deemed as the fit for you.
After your lip filler injection, you can use ice packs to relieve discomfort. They may help alleviate tenderness and swelling in the treatment area. However, if you do use an ice pack or cool compress, do not apply pressure to the treated area for 3 days. Simply rest the compress against your lips gently.
You may use Tylenol, and remember to stay hydrated! Additionally, we recommend that you sleep on your back with your head elevated until you are fully healed. Some patients have reported experiencing:
