Our process begins with a consultation with one of our licensed Younique providers. During this meeting, we discuss your concerns, medical history, and goals for treatment. If we determine that you’re a candidate for microblading in Santa Monica, we can schedule your appointment and prepare you for treatment.
Treatment
To begin, your Younique artist will measure your brows and their hair length. Once your provider reviews your expectations and ideal end results, they will apply numbing cream and deposit ink that matches your natural brow color. Our specialized hand-held device will make small strokes, mimicking the length, thickness, and natural growth pattern of your eyebrows.
Recovery
You will receive detailed aftercare instructions on the day of your appointment, especially for your morning and night routine. The area may appear more swollen the morning following treatment. This is normal and will subside throughout the day. Otherwise:
- Do not pick or scratch at scabs.
- Up to 40% of pigment is lost during the healing process.
- Do not apply makeup, cleansers, or strong skincare products on the area for 2 weeks.
- Stay out of the sun, tanning booths, saunas, steam rooms, pools, hot tubs, and recreational water activities, and avoid direct contact with animals on the treatment area for 14 days (until healed with no scabbing).

Do I only need 1 microblading treatment for best results?
Up to 40% of the deposited pigment is lost during the healing process, so we advise you to return for a follow-up appointment after 2 months. We call this a perfecting session. At this appointment, your Younique artist will carefully examine your healed brows and make minor adjustments or corrections, if necessary. This should reinforce your ideal result, so you can enjoy the most natural-looking appearance possible.
How long will my microblading results last?
With microblading, you can achieve fuller-looking eyebrows with results that look amazing and natural. Your peers won’t even notice your eyebrows have been microbladed.
Microblading procedures can also enhance the size and shape of your brows to suit your aesthetic preferences. Obtain flawless-looking eyebrows and skip the makeup in the morning.
