Procedure
Like a full tummy tuck, your Younique provider will provide general anesthesia for a more comfortable experience. They will make an incision along your lower abdomen, just below the bikini line. They will then remove the excess skin and fat to help flatten your belly. To finish, they will close the incision with sutures and apply a compression garment to encourage healing.
Recovery
Following a tummy tuck, you’ll need to take 2 to 4 weeks off work to heal. Your belly may be swollen or bruised, but pain and discomfort should fade within a week. It’s important to avoid any abdominal strain, including heavy lifting, exercise, intimacy, and housework, for 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. We encourage you to walk as often as possible to improve circulation.

You can maintain a toned tummy with proper dieting and a healthy lifestyle. A mini tummy tuck can address excess fat deposits and loose muscles in the lower abdominal region. However, a smaller amount of natural fat deposits will remain. Those fat deposits can increase in size without a healthy diet and routine exercise. A mini tummy tuck (or any tummy tuck) cannot prevent future weight gain.

How long is recovery for a mini tummy tuck in Santa Monica?
Most Younique patients can get back to work within 2 to 3 weeks, though full recovery usually takes 6 to 8 weeks. You may struggle to stand up straight following the procedure because your waist will be bent. This posture keeps your sutures in the proper position for healing, so please plan accordingly. It should only take a few days before you can resume an upright posture. Your provider will prescribe medication for pain or discomfort in the first 2 to 4 weeks.
