Benefits of Mole Removal in Santa Monica
Improved Aesthetics
Our mole removal service at Younique can improve aesthetic appearance and promote blemish-free skin.
Less Irritation
Clearing an area prone to friction caused by clothes or other skin can relieve constant irritation.
Peace of Mind
It’s about more than removing the mole. We check for underlying issues as well.
Consultation
Our process begins with a consultation with one of our licensed Younique providers. During this meeting, we discuss your concerns, medical history, and goals for surgery. If we determine that mole removal in Santa Monica is the perfect fit for you, we can schedule your treatment.

Procedure
Your Younique provider will choose the proper technique to treat your mole based on its type and location. After thoroughly cleansing the area, they will apply a local anesthetic. Depending on the treatment, they will partially or completely remove the mole.

Recovery
Although there is no downtime following any of our mole removal techniques, healing time will vary. Most mole removal treatments require 7 to 10 days of healing. During that time, we recommend avoiding swimming pools, hot tubs, or any place where the wound could be fully submerged in water. You can shower the day following your biopsy. Avoid participating in activities that may rub or irritate the wound, including scratching or rubbing the removal site.

How do I know if my mole might be cancerous?
The average mole is benign and noncancerous. They’re made of closely-grouped clusters of melanin-producing cells, the kind that give our skin and eyes their color.
Per the National Cancer Institute (NIH), the ABCDE method is the easiest way to check moles for the possibility of cancer. Inspect your mole(s) for these characteristics:
- Asymmetry. One side’s shape is different or doesn’t match the other.
- Border. The edges are irregular, blurred, notched, or ragged.
- Color. The color is uneven or multicolored.
- Diameter. The mole is larger than 6 millimeters (1/4 inch) wide.
- Evolving. The appearance has changed over the past few weeks/months.
If any of these features apply to your mole, you may want to consider mole removal.
How long does mole removal in Santa Monica take?
A standard mole removal service can take approximately 15 minutes. We perform it as an outpatient procedure using a local anesthetic.
