If your provider determines that Xeomin in Los Angeles is the best treatment for your concerns and goals, your session can be scheduled.

Procedure
Just as with traditional Botox, Xeomin is a botulinum toxin type A medicine. It was FDA approved in 2010 and has been widely used as a counterpart to Botox. Xeomin works gently but effectively to eliminate wrinkles by temporarily relaxing the associated muscle activity. During your treatment, your Younique provider will first remove any makeup and cleanse the treatment area(s). Then, they will use a very small needle to artfully administer Xeomin to those localized injection sites.

Recovery
Xeomin treatment is neither aggressive nor overly invasive, making the recovery quick and easy, with no downtime. Younique patients can resume daily activities an hour after the injection. Like other botulinum, Xeomin is safe, and the risk of suffering side effects is low. Most patients only experience mild discomfort in the injection site, which can include swelling and pain. These symptoms tend to disappear almost immediately after the injection.

Am I a good candidate for Xeomin?
Anyone 18 or older who wishes to lessen or erase fine lines, wrinkles, frown lines and more, or keep facial muscles from forming these issues, is a good candidate for Xeomin. However, we do recommend avoiding treatment with Xeomin if you suffer from any of the following conditions:
- Allergic reaction to any type of botulinum injection such as Botox
- Asthma or any other respiratory illness
- Breathing difficulties
- Muscle or nerve disorders
- Swallowing issues
We also advise refraining from Xeomin treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Be sure to discuss any possible allergies or situations with your Younique provider during your consultation.
Why would I use Xeomin vs Botox?
Although they are not the same, both Xeomin and Botox are highly similar, as they part from the same toxin. They deliver almost the same effects and results. The big difference between them relies on manufacturing process, and how it affects the odds of developing allergies.
Xeomin is often considered a “clean” neurotoxin, because it doesn’t include additives. This neuromodulator contains only active ingredients for a more natural and pure form of wrinkle relaxer. It reduces the risk of allergies and turns the Xeomin treatment into a slightly safer alternative than Botox.
