No, dermaplaning (or dermablading) does not cause hair to grow back thicker or darker. Since it’s not a permanent treatment, the hair will return as part of your natural hair growth cycle. The myth that hair grows back thicker and darker after being shaved is unfortunately common but untrue.

Can't I just do dermaplaning at home for the same results?
You can try dermaplaning at home, but you won’t achieve the same results as you would with Younique’s professional dermaplaning in Santa Monica.
